Local Village Mountain Trek

Thon Tha - Ha Thanh - Lung Vai - Khuoi My - Thon Tha

Our local trekking guide will meet you at your homestay after breakfast. As you begin your journey through Thon Tha village, you will see local farmers busily tending to their land and you will truly get a sense of how important agriculture is in this village. 

Leaving Thon Tha behind you will head west to Ha Thanh village where there is a beautyful waterfall used by many locals for swimming and fishing. From this point there is also a stunning view of the jagged mountain peaks that charaterize the Thon Tha landscape.

Next our guide will safely lead you through the jungle terrain to the terraced rice fields that line the mountains. Amidst these rice fields is Lung Vai village, home to prepare a traditional lunch for you to enjoy. This is also a good opportunity to learn more about the Coin Dao culture.

After more trekking along the mountains with breathtaking views of the valleys below, you will reach Khuoi My village. Here, you will visit the old Dao homes that are shrouded in a green moss year-round because of the damp humid climate.

Gain a new perspective on Thon Tha as you make your way down the mountain from the east of the village and meet the same hardworkinng farmers who continue their work as the evening sun sets on the village.
