Let's start the day with the Hmong king's mansion, which is the royal residence
An upper-class family during the French colonial period - this palace attracts many tourists
attracts the interest of architecturally minded visitors due to its style combining European and Chinese architecture. The Hmong King's Palace is located in Sa Phin commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province in northeastern Vietnam. In the early 19th century, the Vuong dynasty ruled the entire region
Vuong Duc Chinh, the head of the family, calls himself "King of the H'Mong people". To consolidate his power, the Hmong king built a palace-fortress.
Then visit Lao Xa, an ancient village. We will stop at these villages to visit
H'mong and Chinese families and interactions with local people. This ancient village is very ancient with 200 year old traditional houses of the Chinese and Mong people. It is interesting to see how the Hmong people live in this beautiful land, in the 21st century they still have to live in such poor conditions. Ha Giang is one of the poorest provinces in Vietnam. Due to special geological conditions (mountains and rocks occupy most of the land area), water resources are scarce and corn is one of the main crops. Spend more time here interacting with different tribal people to understand the locality better.
Get on a motorbike and travel to Nam Dam village, check in to a homestay here, then walk around the village with the tour guide to explore this peaceful land and return to participate in a cooking demonstration with a local family.
You will share a house with others, your rooms are separated by curtains and wooden walls but the toilet and bathroom will be outside the house. Sleep on the floor with a mattress, warm blanket, towel, and mosquito net. Overnight at Nam Dam homestay - a traditional tile-roofed house in Dong Dao.
